Job embeddedness profiles: Associations with supervisor relations, job satisfaction, and work engagement

This study aimed to identify job embeddedness profiles of employees in a paper manufacturing organization South Africa and examine the associations between these employees’ relations with supervisors their satisfaction work engagement. A sample 213 participants from took part cross-sectional survey. The Job Embeddedness Scale, Employment Relations Satisfaction Work Engagement Scale were administered. results indicated four profiles: links-based, balanced-high, moderate links- fit-based, sacrifice-based embeddedness. balanced-high profile (characterized by terms links, but high fit sacrifice) was associated most favorable outcomes. Compared other three profiles, fit-based more positive supervisor relations. higher engagement scores. showed that (as an antecedent) which mattered for levels
